Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great! It was so nice being with the family. We were missing just a couple of people, Rich and Lauren. We missed them terribly but enjoyed being with everyone else. I got an early morning wake up call from downstairs. It was like being a teenager again hearing momma yelling my name from downstairs so that I would get up and start cleaning. "Nannnncyyyy." Ugh. It was okay though. I got up and started on the turkey. Melanie soon joined me, followed by Maria once her pants were dry. Even though momma just had a hip replacement, she still managed to make two pecan pies while sitting at the table. We made smashed potatoes, greenbean casserole, corn, stuffing, and pumpkin pies. And Stephanie made her delicious cheesy potatoes (funeral potatoes eat your heart out) and yummy rolls. We had a super feast! We ate til our stomachs were nice and round. The kids all had fun being together and playing in the country. Brenda and Jake (the dogs) even had a super time. Later we just sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather. Thanks momma and daddy for having us. It was great!

Luis and Garret...can't you just feel the love in this picture? So cute!

Melane, Maria, and Nancy preparing the feast

This is how Kira watched tv when she wasn't sitting in someone's lap. I guess the tv was too small for her. Maybe sitting up close made her feel like she was watching at home.

Juan, Daddy, and Robert. We were all done feasting. It was yummy.

Branden had fun playing with the fire and riding momma's tricycle.

oh so strong Robert!

Daddy...don't you just love the rocking chairs? I do.

Garret and Anna had a grand time together. They were too cute.

Jordan and Stephanie... Jordan just downed a bunch of tictacs. She was happy.

Robert and Melanie

Melanie was so nice. She helped all of the kids make Thanksgiving cards.

The long day finally got to momma. She passed out on the couch.

Kira loved Emily. They had a good time together.

Kira and Grandpa toe

This is how Kira spent a lot of her time. She loved sitting with Grandpa and watching movies.
